Arthur Ouaknine is a postdoctoral research fellow at McGill University and Mila – Quebec AI Institute, where he works on multimodal and multitask deep learning for remote sensing and biodiversity monitoring. He holds the IVADO Postdoc Entrepreneur Fellowship, which supports his work in forest monitoring.

He received his PhD in computer science from Institut Polytechnique de Paris. He previously co-founded and served as CTO of Rubisco AI, a startup focused on monitoring forest restoration projects. He was also a core team member of Climate Change AI, where he co-organized the Climate Change AI workshops at ICLR 2024 and NeurIPS 2024.

Arthur Ouaknine est chercheur postdoctorant à l'Université McGill et au Mila – Institut québécois d'intelligence artificielle, où il travaille sur l'apprentissage profond multimodal et multi-tâches pour la télédétection et le suivi de la biodiversité. Il est titulaire de la bourse postdoctorale Entrepreneur d'IVADO, qui soutient ses travaux en surveillance forestière.

Il a obtenu son doctorat en informatique de l'Institut Polytechnique de Paris. Il a précédemment cofondé et occupé le poste de directeur technique (CTO) de Rubisco AI, une startup spécialisée dans la surveillance de projets de restauration forestière. Il a également été membre de l'équipe de Climate Change AI, où il a co-organisé les ateliers Climate Change AI aux conférences internationales ICLR 2024 et NeurIPS 2024.
